Client deliverables are designed to generate documents using the client information already available in Vega.
The quality and relevance of each deliverable also depend on the context, instructions, and supporting information you provide.
Before Vega generates the deliverable, you can help it understand:
who the deliverable is for
which information it should use
what the document should focus on
which supporting documents should be considered
After the deliverable is generated, you can review and refine:
the wording
the structure
individual sections
the cover page
other presentation details
The process is designed to give Vega the context it needs to generate the most relevant deliverable possible, while keeping you fully in control of the final document.
Before Vega generates the Client deliverable
Customize your firm's branding
Your firm’s branding settings are automatically applied to the Client deliverables your team generates.
User with admin permissions can manage these settings from the Branding tab on the Firm page in Vega.
You can customize:
colors
fonts
logos
These settings only need to be configured once.
Once they are in place, Vega applies them across your firm’s Client deliverables so each document follows a consistent visual identity.
If you’d like, you can also email [email protected] with your logos, brand guidelines, or other branding assets, and our team will take care of setting everything up for you.
Customize the Client deliverables instructions
Link the right contacts and households
When you create a Client deliverable, Vega gives you the option to link the relevant contacts and households.
This step helps Vega identify whose information should be used while generating the document.
Linking the right records can give Vega access to relevant context such as:
CRM data
meetings
notes
emails
tasks
other client records stored in Vega
The more clearly the deliverable is connected to the right client records, the easier it is for Vega to retrieve the correct information.
Give Vega additional instructions
The Generate deliverable card includes a field where you can give Vega additional instructions before generation.
You can use these instructions to explain:
what the document should focus on
which topics should receive more detail
which topics should be left out
what tone or level of detail you prefer
how the information should be organized
which recommendations or observations should be emphasized
For example:
“Focus on the client’s retirement goals and cash flow concerns. Keep the investment section brief.”
“Create a concise executive summary for the client and include a separate section for advisor follow-ups.”
“Explain the planning observations in plain language and avoid technical jargon.”
“Use the attached tax return and meeting transcript to identify potential tax planning opportunities.”
The additional instructions apply to that specific deliverable. They allow you to shape the output without changing the underlying template for everyone at your firm.
Attach supporting documents
You can also attach supporting files before Vega generates the deliverable.
These may include:
PDF files
Word documents
Excel spreadsheets
portfolio reports
tax returns
financial planning exports
insurance documents
account statements
other relevant client documents
Vega can review these files alongside the client data and instructions you provide.
This is especially useful when the information needed for the deliverable is not already stored directly in Vega.
Create a "Meeting recap" from the meeting page
For a "Meeting recap" deliverable, one of the best ways to generate it is from the Sidebar AI assistant while you already have the relevant meeting open (read article: Sidebar AI assistant).
To do this:
Open the meeting in Vega.
Click the AI icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
Ask Vega to create the "Meeting recap" Client deliverable.
Add any additional instructions or supporting documents before generating it.
Because the meeting is already open, the Sidebar AI assistant understands the page you are viewing.
That gives Vega direct access to the relevant meeting context, including:
linked contacts
meeting information
the transcript
the post-meeting analysis
other generated meeting outputs
You can then give more specific instructions, such as:
“Create a Meeting recap for the client. Focus on the estate planning discussion and the action items we agreed on.”
“Generate a recap that I can send directly to the client. Leave out internal notes and advisor-only follow-ups.”
“Summarize the main decisions from this meeting and include a clear next-steps section.”
After Vega generates the Client deliverable
Once Vega generates the deliverable, you can continue refining it directly from the deliverable page in the chat thread.
You can make targeted manual edits, ask Vega to revise sections through chat, or update the overall document settings.
Edit the deliverable manually
You can edit the content directly at different levels.
Depending on what you want to change, you can:
edit a block
edit a card
edit the text
adjust labels
Manual editing works well when you already know the exact change you want to make.
For example, you may want to correct a name, replace a sentence, update a figure, or remove an internal note before sharing the document.
Modify the deliverable with chat
You can also ask the Vega chat to make changes for you.
This is useful when the change affects a larger section or is easier to explain than to edit manually.
For example:
“Shorten the executive summary.”
“Rewrite this section in simpler language.”
“Add more detail about the Roth conversion discussion.”
“Turn this paragraph into a short list of next steps.”
“Make the tone more client-friendly.”
You can describe the result you want, and Vega will revise the relevant content.
This is especially helpful when you want to restructure or rewrite a section without starting over.
Manage the deliverable settings
At the top of the deliverable panel, you will see a settings icon next to the export icon.
From there, you can manage the cover page details.
These settings include:
title
prepared for
prepared by
prepared on
Vega will prepopulate these fields when the deliverable is created, but you can review and update them before exporting or presenting the document.
Edit your firm's disclosure
If your firm requires specific disclosure language on Client deliverables, email [email protected].
Our team can set up the disclosure for your firm and apply it across your templates.
This helps make sure your firm’s required language is included consistently whenever a Client deliverable is generated.
A practical way to think about it
Before Vega generates the deliverable, focus on giving it the right inputs:
the right contacts and households
clear additional instructions
the relevant meeting context
any useful supporting documents
After Vega generates the deliverable, focus on reviewing and refining the result:
edit specific content manually
ask Vega to rewrite or reorganize sections
update the cover page and document details
confirm that the final document is ready to share
The better the context you provide before generation, the closer the deliverable will be to what you need.
The editing tools available afterward allow you to make the final adjustments without recreating the document from scratch.
