An important goal during any meeting is to stay fully focused on the client. This matters even more in person, where eye contact, body language, and subtle expressions on both sides play a critical role in the conversation.
Recording with Vega running quietly in the background makes that possible. You focus on the conversation, and Vega takes care of everything else.
Once the meeting is recorded and sent to Vega, there’s nothing else you need to do. After the meeting, Vega automatically generates your post-meeting analysis, including summary notes, follow-up email drafts, and suggested tasks and CRM updates.
Below are the different ways to record in-person meetings with Vega using the Vega iOS app, the Vega Android app, and the Vega web app.
Recording with the Vega iOS app
The Vega iOS app is the most common way advisors record in-person meetings when using an iPhone or iPad.
To record a meeting:
Open the Vega iOS app.
Go to the Meetings page.
Either:
Select an existing meeting from Recent or Upcoming, or
Create a new meeting under Record (When creating a new meeting, you can enter a meeting title and select the contacts linked to the meeting).
Tap the microphone icon to start recording.
During the meeting, you can pause, resume, or reset the recording at any time.
At the end of the meeting, tap Send to Vega.
Once the recording is sent, Vega will automatically process it and generate the post-meeting analysis.
Offline or poor connection
If you are in a location with weak Wi-Fi or cellular service, Vega will queue the recording in the Record section of the Meetings page. You can send it to Vega later once you have a stable connection. No data is lost, and you remain fully in control of when the recording is uploaded.
Recording with the Vega Android app
The Vega Android app is the most common way advisors record in-person meetings when using an Android phone.
To record a meeting:
Open the Vega Android app.
Just like with the iOS app, if you are in a location with weak Wi-Fi or cellular service, Vega will queue the recording in the Record section of the Meetings page. You can send it to Vega later once you have a stable connection. No data is lost, and you remain fully in control of when the recording is uploaded.
Recording with the Vega web app
You can also record in-person meetings directly from the Vega web app on your computer.
If the meeting is already on your calendar
Go to the Meetings page in Vega.
Open the meeting.
Click Record, then Start recording.
You can pause, stop, or reset the recording at any time.
When finished, click Send to Vega (or download the recording if needed).
If the meeting is impromptu and you don't have time to create it in advance
Click Start recording from the left panel of the Vega web app.
Vega will automatically create a meeting for that recording.
Click Record, then Start recording.
You can pause, stop, or reset the recording at any time.
When finished, click Send to Vega (or download the recording if needed).
After the meeting, you can always add details such as the meeting title, meeting type, and contacts.
Once those details are added, you can re-run the notes so Vega generates a more accurate post-meeting analysis.
Important to know
On a computer, audio input can be connected to different devices. During the meeting, make sure Vega is capturing your voice, the client’s voice, and anyone else in the room by checking that the waveform moves up and down as you speak.
A reminder on consent and control
For in-person meetings, clicking “Send to Vega” is the explicit action that allows Vega to process the recording. Until that step is taken, the recording stays under your control and is not uploaded.
This design is intentional and ensures compliance while giving you full ownership over what gets sent to Vega.
