Zoom

Set up Zoom for Vega

(Required) Allow cloud recording and transcript creation

Log in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings:

  1. Choose Settings from the left menu

  2. Open the Recording tab

  3. Toggle Cloud recording

  4. Toggle Create audio transcript

  5. Click Save

(Optional) Activate automatic recording

Many Vega users default to auto-recording in Zoom Cloud. Keep scrolling down the Recording tab in Settings:

  1. Toggle Automatic recording

  2. Toggle Record in the cloud

Caveat: Zoom will only activate automatic recording going forward (for newly scheduled meetings). Automatic recording won't be active in the meetings that have already been scheduled before you turned it on. If you host a Zoom meeting with a client right after onboarding with Vega, it's very likely that your meeting was scheduled before you activated automatic recording, so you'll have to manually record to the cloud when the meeting starts.

Manual cloud recording in Zoom

  1. Start your instant or scheduled meeting as the host.

  2. Click the Record button.

  3. Select Record to the Cloud to begin recording.

  4. To stop recording, click Stop Recording or End Meeting. You can also click Pause to temporarily pause the recording and have a confidential conversation with your client.

Zoom Phone

Vega can also process Zoom Phone calls, just like virtual Zoom meetings.

How to connect Zoom Phone to Vega

  1. Go to the Integrations page in Vega.

  2. Find Zoom.

  3. Click Connect.

  4. Follow the Zoom authorization flow.

Once connected with the right scopes, Vega can retrieve recorded Zoom Phone calls and generate post-call analysis.

How to use Zoom Phone with Vega

To use Zoom Phone with Vega:

  • Click Record at the beginning of your Zoom Phone call from your Zoom Phone device or app

  • Make sure the call recording is saved in Zoom

Vega will then retrieve the recording and generate the post-call analysis automatically.

Once the call is processed, Vega can help produce the same types of outputs you are used to seeing from meetings, including notes, follow-up drafts, tasks, and CRM suggestions.
